Disaster Risk Reduction Workshop aims at developing courses in disaster risk management, designing a post graduate diploma program with a joint publication focusing on disaster risk management.

World Bank Institute (WBI) will facilitate a peer to peer collaboration among the Department of Applied Geology, School of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, University of Madras (UOM), Chennai, India, the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, International Environment and Disaster Management Laboratory (IEDM/ GSGES), Kyoto University (IEDM/ KU), Japan, and Disaster Management and Research Center, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey. WBI  will also provide mentoring, technical assistance and training activities during the university collaboration.
