World Bank Ankara Office has been implementing Small Grants Program within the past 7 years with the funds received from Development Grant Facility (DGF) budget, administered from Washington DC.
World Bank Turkey Country Office will run the 8th round of grants in 2008. This year SmGP will be distributing grants up to US$ 5,000 for projects submitted by Non Governmental Organizations active in social matters specifically on the topic of Youth.
Grants will be given to small-scale activities in support of youth issues, implemented by grass-root level NGOs. This year’s theme is: “Civic Engagement for the Empowerment Youth”. It is intended to support the empowerment of youth groups and young people to have greater ownership of development processes and social responsibility, and making these processes more inclusive and equitable through their projects while interacting with the public authorities.
Within this framework, we are happy to share with you the guidelines for submitting project proposals for this year’s Small Grants Program attached and we invite your organization to submit proposal(s) and share the information with other NGOs who would be interested in submitting proposals.
